hi, i just bought a tippmann 98 and everything is there, but i have seen people use them on youtube and you dont need to cock the gun when you fire once. why does it happen to me?

Its a semi-automatic.

Means you c.ock it once and each time you fire, it automatically re-c.ocks itself.

A pump paintball gun requires you to pump a handle to c.ock the gun and load a paintball.

No you can’t fill it at a garage. At the most, they can only fill to 200PSI. The tank needs to be filled with 3,000 PSI and can only be done with a scuba tank, nitrogen tank, or HPA compressor (usually about $5,000). A paintbally shop or field should be able to fill your tank and you can also use Co2 on your 98C (Its easier to get fills).
