This article will discuss several lines of products offered by Scotty Cameron putter and Titleist. These include the two lines of mallet putters, ROJO ® X Series and Futura Phantom, and two limited-edition putters.
RED X ® Mallet Putters
As is true of many of the Scotty Cameron putter, the mallet head design of this line are highly sculpted and pleasant future in sight. There is both a certain boldness in design, but also simplicity. One wonders if Cameron does sculpture on the side. The latest putters in this series, the Red X3 and Red X5, are only being sent to retailers as this article Titleist is written in mid-September 2007. Both of these putters are milled from 303 stainless steel and have a sole plate black anodized, and a glare-resistant finish the fog of charcoal. Cameron has used this light-resistant finish some of his putter designs for 2007. All mallet putters in the product line have a single alignment line. The differences between these two putters is that the Red X3 has a traditional shaft with ¼ shaft of offset obtained by a single curve in the shaft, and Red X5 that has a full shaft offset and a plumbing neck. Both have the standard 4 degrees of loft and 71 degree angle of the lie, and both come in lengths 33, 34, and 35 inches. For lefties, only the Red X3 is available in a length of 35 inches.
The older members of this product line are the red X and Red X2, and a number of variations on these. There are belly putters for both models, called Media X X2 and Red Crescent Societies, and there is a long putter called Long Red X2. These putters were designed in 2003, and Cameron did a lot of research with different materials to obtain the best possible sound and feel at impact. The heads are stainless steel, and no additional face insert made of a different type of stainless steel and the insert is given a border of elastomer that helps give a feel good and sound at impact. The difference between the Red X and Red X2 in the configuration of the shaft. The Red X has a single axis displacement curve and the axis is connected to the head putter midway between the center of the hammer head and heel. There is no axis offset on the Red X2, and the shaft connects with the hammer just behind half of the putter head. All the putters in the retail line of red X $ 300.
Future Phantom Mallet Putters
There are two putters In this product line, the hammer and the hammer 2. The difference is that the shaft is connected to the hammer head in the center of almost 2 for Mallet, while for Mallet putter the shaft connects near the heel. There is no axis of displacement, either to putter. As its name suggests the product line, these putters have look very futuristic and elegant to them. Behind the flat putter face is a stainless steel back plate that has a configuration of five alignment of the line. Behind this is a semicircular bar giving the form of mallet putter. Obviously, just looking at these putters that the weight was redistributed to obtain a high moment of inertia, or MOI, offering forgiveness on off-center hits. The putters come with standard loft of 4 degrees and the standard lie angle of 71 degrees, have no shaft displacement, and are available in lengths of 34 and 35 inches. The deck 2 only available in right-handed models. The materials used to produce the mallet heads are 661 aircraft aluminum with a stainless steel weight, to return, as mentioned above. Both putters retail for $ 300.
Limited Edition Catalina Classic
This is a classic putter design with only around 2000 pieces produced. The putter head is made of carbon steel and covered with anti fog glossy coal also increases durability in the putter. There is a line whose sole purpose on the flange of the center of the back and grip is a soft stitched leather.
Ten Teryllium Limited Edition
Teryllium is a copper metal from 12 different alloys and provides a soft and smooth sound, due to the insertion of copper thickness. Cameron putters teryllium first released 10 years ago and continues with an updated version. The sleek black look combined with metallic copper color and the way the putter, make it a really beautiful instrument. Soft hand stitched leather grips are standard.
